Your Data & Vault Contents
Because SVPassman is entirely local, you are solely responsible for your vault data. This includes:
- Backups: We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups of your vault database. We cannot recover lost data.
- Master password: If you forget your master password and have not set up recovery options, your vault contents are permanently inaccessible. We have no ability to assist with recovery.
- Security: You are responsible for securing the device on which SVPassman is installed. Physical access to your device may compromise your vault if it is in an unlocked state.
- Accuracy: We are not responsible for errors or inaccuracies in the data you store in your vault.
Disclaimer of Warranties
SVPassman is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no representations or warranties regarding:
- The security, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Software
- The accuracy or completeness of any information provided
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- That defects will be corrected
Security software is only as secure as its implementation and the environment it runs in. We make every effort to build secure software, but no guarantee of absolute security is possible or implied.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SwaVan and its contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use SVPassman, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SwaVan and its contributors from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of SVPassman in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction. We prefer to resolve disputes amicably before resorting to legal action.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of SVPassman after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Significant changes will be noted in the release notes.
